Terms of Use
Last updated 30 October 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [COMPANY NAME] (ABN [ABN]) ("getme", "we", "us"), which operates the getme website and app at getme.cam (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.
1. Eligibility — adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you can form a binding contract, and that you are not prohibited from using the Service under any law.
We may ask you to confirm your age or identity at any time. If we reasonably believe a user is under 18, we will close the account and remove their content.
2. Your account
You must give accurate information, use photos of yourself, and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person, one account — do not create accounts for others or impersonate anyone.
You can close your account at any time from Settings > Privacy > Delete account.
3. Acceptable use
You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular you must not:
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully or abuse anyone;
- post sexually explicit material, or share intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- post content involving minors in any sexual or harmful context;
- scam, solicit money, promote commercial services, or engage in sex work solicitation;
- post hate speech or content that promotes violence or self-harm;
- use bots, scrape data, or interfere with the Service or its security;
- use the Service for anything illegal under Australian law.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post (photos, prompts, posts, comments and messages). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, adapt (for example, resizing) and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies are retained for legal, safety or backup reasons as described in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the rights to everything you post and that it does not breach these Terms or anyone else’s rights.
5. Safety, moderation and enforcement
We use a mix of user reports, automated tools and human review to keep getme safe. We may remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently ban accounts that breach these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or where we are required to do so by law, including under the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth).
We do not conduct criminal background checks on users. Photo verification only indicates that a person’s selfie matched their profile photos at the time of review. Always take care when meeting people — see our Safety Tips.
6. Paid features
Some features require a paid subscription. The subscription terms in section 7 apply to those purchases.
7. Subscriptions, auto-renewal, cancellation and refunds
Plans. We offer free access plus optional paid plans (currently getme Plus and getme Premium), billed monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST. The features and current prices for each plan are listed on our Premium page before you buy.
Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will tell you the renewal date at checkout and in Settings > Subscription. If we change the price of your plan, we will give you reasonable notice (at least 30 days) before the change applies to your next renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in Settings > Subscription (or through the store you purchased from). Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current paid period.
Refunds. Except as set out here, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used periods. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), which cannot be excluded. If the Service has a major failure, you may be entitled to a refund. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.
Free trials and promotions. If we offer a trial or promotional price, we will tell you the price that applies afterwards and when it starts. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Billing issues. Contact [CONTACT EMAIL] with any billing question. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full card details.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to those guarantees, we provide the Service "as is" and our liability for any failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the conduct of other users on or off the Service.
9. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change the Service or these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we will ask you to accept updated Terms. If you don’t agree, you can close your account.
10. Ending your use
You may stop using getme at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licences needed for legal retention, liability and governing law) survive termination.
11. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint, contact us first at [CONTACT EMAIL] — we aim to respond within 10 business days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle an online safety complaint, you can contact the eSafety Commissioner (esafety.gov.au).
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
